Choosing a Face Moisturizer

Moisturizers help the skin retain and heal when environmental factors dry out our skin. They contain varying combinations of emollients, occlusives, and humectants to achieve their beneficial effects, and there is an overwhelming number of formulations available. Moisturizing creams are used by millions of consumers to revitalize the water level that is found naturally in their skin. As people go through life and face a number of activities, the skin's layer of protective lipids gets worn away. Many people nowadays have become vain in nurturing and pampering himself which has made even guys out there to focus much attention in his skin care. Some of the vanity products that people uses are specialized soaps, whitening creams, make-ups for women, and facial moisturizers among the hundreds of it. There are a hundreds of facial moisturizers made to take good care of our face. A good facial moisturizer will not only protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, but will also prevent premature signs of aging and keep the skin healthier.

Two of the most famous and the facial moisturizer in the market nowadays are Dove and Olay. Both promote softer skin in just weeks of using it. Moisturizers often claim to heal all of the skin's ailments, but often they have the opposite effect. Organic skin lipids are sometimes added to moisturizers that in the correct proportion promote healthy skin repair. Skin type plays a role in choosing a facial moisturizer because different skin types require different levels of moisturizing. Dry skin requires more moisture than oily skin and similarly, sensitive skin also requires special attention. A good facial moisturizer will not only protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, but will also prevent premature signs of aging and keep your skin healthier. If you have oily skin, avoid minerals oils, mineral waxes, and other pore-clogging ingredients. Mineral oils can clog pores because they trap perspiration, sit on top on the skin, and don’t get absorbed.

Most people don’t need moisturizer on the nose. The nose has an extremely high concentration of oil glands that usually don’t need any extra encouragement. The basic function of a facial moisturizer is to soothe and keep water in the skin; skin moisturizer reviews indicate most products do that pretty well. There are plenty of sunscreens on the market which hydrate the skin as well as protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
